Fanuc’s first collaborating lightweight robot (Cobot) is the latest highlight in the Robo Lab, one of eight laboratories at the Fill Future Lab. With an unladen weight of 40 kilograms and a payload of 10 kilograms, the CRX-10iA is one of the world’s lightest and most maneuverable industrial robots. The featherweight is a member of the “Cobot” family. This term is used to describe industrial robots that work jointly with people and do not need to be isolated from human contact by protective equipment in the production process. These collaborative robots use sensors to work safely and harmlessly together with their human colleagues. The Fanuc CRX-10iA is therefore perfectly suitable for use in the Fill Future Lab, where young people can gain their first experience of interacting with a robot.

Discovering digital and real spaces
In the form of its Future Lab in Gurten, Upper Austria, Fill has created a unique creative space for digital talent. Covering 140 square meters, the transgenerational “Future Lab” think tank provides very special educational opportunities. Children, young people, and the young at heart can acquaint themselves with technologies of the future in a playful way here. Conceived as an open ideas factory, the Future Lab with its eight laboratories is located at Fill’s headquarters in Gurten.
