A new record – FACC honors 202 long-serving employees for 2,685 years of loyalty

202 deserving employees of the Upper Austrian aviation supplier were honored at the Loryhof inn in Wippenham on October 16. The directors of FACC thanked the staff in person for their 2,685 years of loyal service.

“FACC has been one of the biggest employers in Upper Austria for almost three decades. The many years of success would not have been possible without your expertise. Thank you so much for your loyalty to the company and your dedication,” said the directors Walter A. Stephan and Robert Machtlinger at the special jubilee celebration at the Loryhof in Wippenham on October 16, 2015. This year, a record number of employees – 202 in total – are celebrating ten to 35 years of service. The directors presented certificates and enjoyed the party with the long-serving staff. Gottfried Reifeltshammer, Material and Process Engineer, celebrated 30 years of service: “I’ve always been interested in technology. That’s why, even after all this time, I’m still very happy to be working for a company with very high technological standards. My work is enriched by the positive environment in my department and by the new challenges that come along almost every day.” Helga Greszla, a production operative in the cleanroom, also enjoys her work: “Our duties are varied and we are given the responsibility to work independently on interesting projects. I’ve been enjoying the great team spirit for 35 years now and have made many friends during that time.”

Attractive employer

FACC employs a workforce of around 2,700 staff in Austria. Many of them have been with the company since 2005. “Back then, we were celebrating the start of our now firmly established A380 project together with Airbus and the production start of the successful B737 winglets. As a result of this important contract, FACC expanded and the Crew became bigger and bigger,” explains Robert Machtlinger. That’s why a record number of staff are now celebrating their service jubilee this year. As an employer in Innviertel, FACC has carved out an excellent reputation over the years. In addition to financial rewards, the Crew’s dedication is rewarded with excellent fringe benefits. Along with an additional day off on their birthday, they benefit from a range of attractive concessions and special deals, such as those recently offered in the form of the FACC Bonus Card. These measures support the growth of FACC and help all staff to identify with the company. At a time when well-trained workers are a rarity in some places, we can be proud of the valuable expertise of our FACC Crew,” emphasizes Helmut Andexer, Vice President Human Resources at FACC. Apart from technical training courses, FACC also offers personal coaching with external trainers. Employees can also take part in voluntary training, thereby improving their chances of promotion within the company.
