Multifunctional “Future Tube” leads directly to the future

Fill continues to apply its high-tech image consistently to its buildings as well. The “Future Zone” innovation center has been linked spectacularly to the production halls.

“Take a walk on the future side” is displayed on one side of the Future Tube’s exterior facade, which links the production halls with the Future Zone digitalization center on the Fill site in Gurten. The motto says it all: The futuristic bridge leads the way to a future that can bank on sustainable growth. Apart from looking spectacular, it fulfills several important functions, housing the autonomous material transport system and as a very special venue for presentations and events.

Gurten, March 17, 2022 – Here the future has already begun! When you walk through the Future Tube at a height of eight meters, you feel as if you’re in a science fiction movie. Inside and out, the structure sets new standards in terms of design and function. “The Future Tube connects two major building complexes, thereby granting access to our Future Zone high-tech center. Furthermore, we will use the bridge in future for autonomous material transport between our production halls, as well as for presentations and events. This makes it multifunctional,” CEO and proprietor Andreas Fill explains.

Architectural design meets high-tech
Starting with the LED exterior facade, which regularly takes center stage, through to the many LED interior walls, this impressive structure reflects the innovative strength of the leading Upper Austrian company. The connection of lift systems on both sides provides optimal conditions for autonomous material flow within the building complex at the company’s location in Gurten (Upper Austria). “The idea came from a end-of-year presentation during the construction phase of the Future Zone. Now, around two years later, we are delighted with its completion,” Andreas Fill continues.

Growth under our own steam
In spite of continuous expansion, growth at any price is not the objective at Fill. Instead, it wants to grow prudently and sustainably under its own steam. Many major markets still harbor plenty of potential which will be harvested successively. As an innovation leader in many areas of machine and plant engineering, the Upper Austrian company has acquired an excellent international reputation. Its broad field of activity, with the Fill competence centers for plastics, profile technology, casting technology, wood, metal machining, and service, forms the sound foundation for future success.
