New perspectives in plastics technology

Under the motto “Rethink Plastics”, Fill and its partner, Parat, staged a trade conference in the Innviertel. Participants were able to take a breathtaking look into the future.

On 27 and 28 June 2023, the Fill Future Dome provided the harmonious setting for a unique event with excellent speakers, exciting technical presentations, and a world premiere live product demonstration. The “RETHINK PLASTICS conference” set new standards in plastics technology. The numerous trade visitors, consisting of business partners, customers, and friends of the two companies Fill Maschinenbau and Parat, were able to experience the latest innovations at first hand: forward-looking, sustainable, and trend-setting.

Gurten, June 29, 2023 – “Visionary ideas often lead to surprising insights. This was impressively illustrated by the live presentation of the novel particle foam processing line that we have developed together with Parat. The two days of the conference were marked by unique views and valuable exchanges of opinions,” says host and Fill managing director and owner Andreas Fill, delighted at the success of the event.

Two days with a focus on plastics technology
The participants ranged from material suppliers, mold makers and processors to competitors of the host companies, Fill and Parat, all of whom showed great interest in what was presented. International top speakers spoke about particle foams of the future and reported in exciting presentations on simple, economical and environmentally friendly plastics solutions.

From particle foam to functioning component
The focus was on the first demonstration of the series processing system developed jointly by Fill and Parat. With the patented vaporless pre-foaming technology, drying of the materials before further processing is no longer necessary, as the process is precisely matched to the respective raw material. This has taken the entire process – from particle foam to the finished component – to a new level in terms of efficiency and quality. This innovation also enables components with different surface layers and inserts to be manufactured in one step. In order to compensate fluctuations in the raw material and thus ensure the required high process quality, sensors are installed at appropriate points in the system. All parameters of the production chain are recorded and used for optimization and control.

Innviertel hospitality
In addition to the technical topics, the participants were also able to enjoy the Innviertel hospitality. Perfect service around the event as well as the modern ambience of the Fill Future Dome invited to a productive exchange of opinions. The conclusion of the participants: “An absolute top event, from which we will take home a great deal of valuable knowledge!”
