It was one of the highlights of the major international trade fair Euroguss, held in Nuremberg from June 8 to 10: Fill presented the ROBOCAST V vacuum metering system for the first time. This innovative casting system enables low-oxide collection, manipulation and metering of molten aluminum. Thanks to consistent and reproducible parameters, the trendsetting innovation ensures consistent casting quality while also reducing the amount of return scrap material.
Nuremberg/Gurten, June 20, 2022 – The global trend towards systems based on electromobility is calling for completely new production concepts – not just from automotive manufacturers but also from the machine engineering industry. With the development of the ROBOCAST V, the Upper Austrian machine engineering experts from Fill have taken a decisive step towards the production of new types of drive component. The new solution was successfully revealed to the world at the leading international trade fair Euroguss in Nuremberg from June 8 to 10. “Our stand welcomed a large number of visitors over the three days. It was great to see many regular customers again in person after so long. The trade fair visitors were impressed by the innovative ROBOCAST V vacuum metering system. The huge interest resulted in numerous appointments being set up for potential new projects,” said Thomas Rathner, Head of the Casting Technology Competence Center at Fill. Fill also impressed with its intelligent and unique simulation models, which open up whole new possibilities for component development and production planning in the fields of casting and metal machining technology.
The Fill Time Machine – concepts for the future
Fill’s new developments in the fields of casting and metal machining technology, including optimum utilization of digital data, provide a boost to innovation. “New products demand new processes, and new processes make new products possible. This creates a snowball effect of innovation that repeatedly leads to amazing new solutions being created by our development departments,” added Rathner.
Complete data recording and storage
The CYBERNETICS PRODUCE software tool integrated in the new ROBOCAST V casting system enables seamless recording and storage of the relevant process parameters required for efficient and reliable component traceability. CYBERNETICS PRODUCE allows foundries to analyze reproducible processes and optimize the procedures using key performance indicators (KPIs). Fill accompanies its customers from start to finish with maximum productivity, efficiency, reliability and intelligence.
