Robot “Filli Future” awakens elementary school pupils’ interest in technology

Elementary school classes visit Fill Machine Engineering in Gurten. Company mascot “Filli Future” showed the kids how exciting technology can be.

At the end of April, two classes from the elementary schools in St. Georgen and Weilbach visited friendly robot Filli Future “at home” at Fill’s company headquarters in Gurten. The young visitors were given a brief tour through the production facility and took a look over the shoulder of apprentices at work in the apprentice workshop. They were allowed to take home a spinning top machined beforehand. A “Filli Future” menu in the company restaurant concluded an exciting morning for the pupils.

– Fill not only demonstrates innovative ability in its products. The internationally successful company from the Innviertel region also takes extraordinary paths in its communication. “Filli Future”, the cool robot from planet netruG, not only wins children’s hearts, he also gets them enthusiastic about technology. The elementary school classes were greeted for the first time in the company’s new auditorium, the Fill Future Dome. Filli Future’s intergalactic super-screw machine was also used for the first time during the children’s visit. “The idea behind creating our company mascot Filli Future was to introduce children to technology in a fun and playful way. Our goal is to arouse the interest of even the youngest kids in technology. This has since turned into a real success story,” reports CEO Andreas Fill.

With great enthusiasm, the young visitors turned and twisted on this device. When five bolts are inserted correctly, all the lamps light up on this futuristic machine and gummy bears fall out of an opening. Great fun for all the kids. Using bills of material, the children collected the parts for the “jumping rob construction kit”, which they were allowed to take away for subsequent assembly in handicraft lessons. The thrilling few hours at a machine engineering company were concluded with a “Filli Future menu” in the company restaurant. As a memento, each child was also given a small gift pack and a “Filli Future” T-shirt. “When I grow up, I’m going to be an engineer too,” one of the little visitors gushed. This enthusiasm can be regarded as representative for most of the children, so “Filli Future” has once again completed his mission magnificently.
